On Saturday @LionessIII showed me this video and asked my opinion. Immediately, as the video began to play, one word came to mind - “VHS” … That’s not really a word. I know! … But any who… the treatment, “vintage” and the story line is decent, just wished the would have told us why he snapped.
After watching it… it made me want to go look for all my VHS Tapes and watch them.
I’m not much of a car person but I saw a commercial, this weekend, for the BMW i8 and I got one word… Caliente! If Tron & BMW had a baby this would be it!
Here is a really cool animated short, I found on Vimeo, by Justin Burks called Danger Planet.
What the heck do I like about it? Though there are 3D elements it’s quite simplistic (in terms of the use of shapes that form the various objects), the colours used for the space cadets say love (bet you didn’t see that), the score took me on a journey emotionally and how the story progressed beautifully in the short space of time.
One may argue that it’s a traditional love story… So what! Let them argue :P!
